Joseph Pelszynski

Joseph "Joe" Pelszynski of Catlin passed away on October 14, 2021 at Pleasant Meadows Nursing Home in Chrisman. He was born on April 21, 1937 in Danville to parents Joseph and Dolores Pelszynski. They preceded him in death.

Joe is survived by his wife of 23 years Malia (Weaver) Pelszynski, his children Stephen Pelszynski, James (Glenda) Pelszynski, and Tammy (Eddie) Martin, 8 grandchildren, and several greatgrandchildren. He also leaves behind his sister Sue (Doug) Logan, a niece, and 2 nephews.

Joe graduated from Schlarman Academy with the Class of 1955. He served in the United States National Guard for 7 years and had previously worked at Newman Clothing Store, Hyster, and Big R.

Joe enjoyed fishing, metal detecting, and music. When he was younger, he even enjoyed playing the accordion. He loved John Wayne and reading about UFOs.

A visitation will be held for Joe on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 9:30 am until 10:30 am at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 3940 N. Vermilion St., in Danville, Il 61834. A funeral service will follow at the funeral home at 10:30 am. Father Loftus will be officiating. Joe will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery.
