Joseph L. McCormick

Joseph “Joe” “Jolly” Leland McCormick, 84, of Paxton, passed away on Friday, July 31, 2026, at his home surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on April 22, 1942, the son of Harold and Alice (Burley) McCormick.

Joe is survived by his significant other, Gayle Cremeens; children, Daniel Lee McCormick, Joseph “Little Joe” McCormick, Kari McCormick; grandchildren, Haylee McCormick, Brittany Adkins; great-grandchild, Raiden; and siblings, Betty, Wayne, and Linda.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Patricia K. McCormick; and siblings, Bill, Beverly, Shirley, and Gloria.

Joe enjoyed camping and was an avid fan of NASCAR, especially for Dale Earnhardt. He loved watching old westerns and listening to George Jones and other country music. As a farmer, Joe also held a special place in his heart for John Deere Tractors.

He will be deeply missed by all who have had the pleasure of meeting him.
