Danville - Joseph J. Nasados of Dunedin, FL formerly of Danville, IL passed away in Manor Care Nursing Home in Florida. Joe was born January 9, 1933 to Joseph and Theresa in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania. Joe is survived by his wife of 32 years Jeanne Chandler-Reeves-Nasados. Joe was formerly married to Christin Jennis in PA. He has one daughter from that marriage Dolores “Dee”Giuliani of Champaign. He later married Lois Oller from which he had three children, Sharon (Steve) Williams of Nashville TN, Joe R. (Joy) of Big Sandy, TX, James (Laurel) of Oxofino, ID. Joe is also survived by three step-daughters; Denise (Marie) Melo of Sioux City, IA, Kimberly (Mike) Gordon of Barrington, IL, and Gayle Hoock of Mount Pulaski, IL; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alfred Nasados of Pottstown PA, Paul Nasados of Sunbury PA, Richard (Doreen) Nasados of San Antonio, TX and brother-in-law Bob (Marlene) Chandler of Allerton, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Theresa. Joe worked at Lauhoff Grain Co. and Illinois Power where he installed lights on Interstate74. Many years later, Joe retired from General Motors where he was an electrician. Joe was a proud veteran of the Air Force, which he joined at age 17. He was a Staff Sergeant of the 51st division and a fighter bomber wing in Korea and Japan. Joe was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Gao Grotto in Danville, the V.F. W., the American Legion, Attica Skeet Club, Shoot and Cuss Gun Club, Harrison Park Golf Club, and he was 32nd degree Mason. Joe loved shuffleboard so much that he was a member of the Heather Lake Shuffleboard League and Clearwater Shuffleboard Club in Florida. He loved sports, games, television, and traveling. Joe loved his family very much and treasured all the time he spent with them. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. All services for Joe will be held inside. A visitation will be held on Friday January 9, 2015 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville. The service for Joe will be Saturday January 10, 2015 at 2 pm, at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center. Pastor Michael Heidle will officiate.
