Joseph 'Joe' Wilson

Cayuga, Ind. - Joseph "Joe" Wilson, 84, of Cayuga, passed away at 5:20 a.m. EDT Friday, July 13, 2018 at Rockville Nursing and Rehab Center in Rockville, Indiana due to kidney failure.

He was born July 16, 1933 in Eugene, Indiana the son of the late Ruth (VanSickle) Paul and George Wilson.

Joe first married Phyllis Yoho. He later married Sherrill Lee Corey on September 16, 1977 in Danville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on December 22, 2016.

Survivors include his children: Joe Paul (Linda) Wilson of Eugene, Indiana; Tim (Cindy) Wilson of Cayuga, Indiana; Sally (Hardy) Ratcliff of Kingman, Indiana and Corey (Sarah) Wilson of New Richmond, Indiana; two step daughters; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Joe was preceded in death by his sister, brother and three nephews.

Joe was the founder of Wilson's gas (1963) and towing (1966) service located in Cayuga. He was a Korean War veteran serving with the United States Army. Joe was a member of the Cayuga American Legion Post 263. He enjoyed watching NASCAR.
