Joseph 'Jobi' L. Pate

Danville - Joseph L. "Jobi" Pate, 69, of Danville, IL passed away at 4:45 PM on July 25, 2024 at his home in Danville, IL.

Jobi was born on November 1, 1954 the son of William and Evelyn (Bannon) Pate in Danville, IL. He married Terri Lynn Sales and she preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter, Amanda Jackson and her partner, her children Avery Jackson and Tray Jackson, his son, Christopher Sales, one brother, Travis ( Krystal Zimmerman) Pate and their son, Grant Pate and his daughter Maxine Pate, and one sister, Linda Parsons. Jobi has many nieces and nephews as well.

Jobi is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Terri Lynn Sales, four siblings, JoAnn Stennett, Harry Franklin Pate, Christopher (Wolfe) Pate, and Bridget Sue Evans.

Jobi had a character like no other and was the life of the party. He was a Dad, Uncle, Brother and Husband. Family to him was not just blood and he loved his family dearly. Jobi enjoyed "family time" and music.

Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, IL 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
