Danville, Ill. - Joseph H. McClellan, 84, of Danville and formerly of Covington, Indiana, passed away, Friday, December 19, 2014 at 11:28 p.m. CST at the Veterans Administration Illiana Health Care System in Danville, Illinois. He was born October 25, 1930 in Danville, Illinois, the son of the late Victor and Gabriel Haquet McClellan. He married Wilma Shell on October 21, 1977 in Danville, Illinois. She preceded him in death on July 4, 2009. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy Jean McClellan of Lafayette, Indiana and Christine(Bill Weland)Polston of Oxford, Indiana; one son, Mark Allen(Sue)McClellan of Danville, Illinois; four grandchildren, Joseph Kyle McClellan; Cassie(Tyler)Foltz Toth; Justin Foltz and Tamra Polston; two great grandchildren, Lila Foltz and Tyler Toth, Jr, and one sister, Dorothy Miller of Mahomet, Illinois. Joseph was preceded in death by his half brother, John Haquet. Joseph retired from General Electric in Danville, Illinois in 1990. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the United States Air Force. Joseph attended Christian Union Church in rural Covington, Indiana. He was a 1948 graduate of Georgetown High School. Graveside services and burial will be held at 2 p.m. EST Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Lower Mound Cemetery north of Perrysville, Indiana with graveside military rites by the Cayuga American Legion Post #263; Officiating: Pastor Tony DeMoss.
