Danville- Joseph Franklin Taylor 58, of Danville passed away peacefully at 3:30 P.M. on Tuesday, June 14, 2005 at his home. Joe was born March 25, 1947 in Danville, IL the son of Pratt and Helen Mollett Taylor. He married Donna D. High on Nov. 24, 1971 in Westville, IL. She survives. Also surviving are his mother, Helen, of Danville; a son, Brock Thomas Taylor of Cincinnati, OH and a daughter Lyndsey Danielle Taylor of Louisville, KY.; 1 brother, Thomas L. (Sandy) Taylor of Georgetown, IL, several nieces, nephews and numerous other family members. He was preceded in death by his father and a special Uncle for which he was named after- Joseph F. Taylor. Joe was a graduate of Schlarman High School. He received his Associates Degree from Danville Area Community College and attended Murray State University. He served in the United States Army from March of 1968 to April 1971 where he reached the rank of Sgt. He served as a military intelligence agent with a United States Army special forces unit. He served one year in Vietnam. After his military career he came back to Danville to start his own business, Uni-Kill Pest Management Specialists, which he owned until January of 2004. Joe was a member of the Catholic Faith where he had been a past member of the Knights of Columbus. He was the first Vice Commodore of the Danville Boat Club, an officer and member of the Illini Bass Club, and was a Life Member of B.A.S.S. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, reading, and a multitude of friends.
