Joseph Blaine Cromwell, 74, of Danville, passed away at 10:16 a.m. Thursday, July 10, 2008 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Blaine was born on May 1, 1934 in Danville, the son of Charles and Beulah (Louck) Cromwell. He married Emma Underwood on December 24, 1953 in Danville. She survives. He is survived by one son-Joe (Sally) Cromwell of Danville; one daughter- Holly Cromwell of Danville; one brother- Ben Cromwell of Catlin; and three grandchildren- J.B. Cromwell, Casey Cromwell and Nora Cromwell all of Danville. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. Blaine graduated from Danville High School. He worked at Berkley-Davis and later Pipefitters Local #293 and #157 for 30 years, until he retired in 1993. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing poker, watching Jeopardy and old movies on T.V. A Celebration of the Life of Joseph Blaine Cromwell will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Monday at the Tribute Center. Per Blaines wishes he will be cremated following the service. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
