Joseph Red' Baranouski, 95, of Georgetown, passed away at 4:40am, Monday, January 16, 2012. He was born on May 17, 1916, the son of Anthony and Theadora Baranouski who emigrated from Lithuania and settled in Georgetown. Joseph was a graduate of Georgetown Grade School and High School. He was a Veteran of the US Air Force and served during WWII in the European Theatre. He was a member of the American Legion Post #51. He worked for Danville Construction Co and Danville Asphalt from which he retired after 40 years of service. Joseph was an avid Chicago Bears & Cubs fan and enjoyed watching all sports. Joseph is survived by: his good friends, Dennis (Tee) Grant of Georgetown; and his great niece, Zea Baranouski of Lithuania. He was preceded in death by: his parents; his brother, John; & his sister, Stella. A celebration of Joseph's life will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Resurrection Cemetery, Danville with Military Rites.
