GEORGETOWN- Joseph Andrews Jr., 66, of Georgetown, passed away at 8:45am on Saturday, October 15, 2005 with his wife, children and grandchildren by his bedside at his residence. Mr. Andrews was born in Georgetown on March 21, 1939, the son of Joe Frank and Beverly Lucille (Johnson) Andrews. Both parents precede him in death. Joe leaves behind his wife Sharon of 47 years, his two sons; Steven Andrews of Georgetown and Lawrence (Kelly) Andrews of Georgetown, his two daughters; Mary (Heiko) Steffen of Georgetown, and Kimberly (Mark) Flynn of Chrisman. Also surviving are Joes nine grandchildren, Stevie Ray and Jeremy Andrews, Christopher and Erin Pask, Amanda Andrews, Joey Wagner, Katey and Laurie Andrews and a great-granddaughter; Angellee. He will also be missed by a special niece; Christine (Rod) Smeed, as well as his great nephew; Mason, and great niece; Zoey. He is preceded in death by his brother; James Andrews, and his oldest son, Joseph Andrews III. After graduating from Georgetown High School, Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country proud. After being Honorable discharged, Joe took employment at the Heat Craft factory out of Danville as a lead millwright for 25 years, retiring in 2001. Joe enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren, to whom he had given each a special nickname, He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and had a special love of history. Everyone enjoyed Joes quick wit and will be missed by all. A celebration of the life of Joseph Andrews Jr. is scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday October 20, 2005 at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Officiating will be Rev. James Blue. Final resting place: Woodlawn Cemetery in Indianola. Visitation will be held between 5-8pm on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, one of Joes final requests was that memorial donations be given to his two favorite charities, St. Judes Childrens hospital and Carle Hospice.
