Joseph Alexander

Danville - Joseph K. Alexander, 75, of, Danville, passed away on July 2, 2016 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born on December 14, 1940 and was brought into the loving care of Sampson and Opal Alexander. He married Sondra Lee Prouty of March 17, 1968 in Danville, IL. Joseph will be deeply missed by his wife Sondra; son, Lance Clark; daughters, Rhonda (Greg) Beyer, Chrystal Hutson, and Melody (Phil) Kressler; brother, John (Diane) Alexander; sister, Mary Ann (Tom) Craig; grandchildren, Chondra, Zach, Rachel, Phillip, Patrick, Alexander, and Madison; and great-grandchildren, Arriana, Payton, Sage, and Reegan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John. Joseph worked in Management for US Airways/American Airlines. He was a proud member of Latter Rain Church. He enjoyed gardening and was an avid Nascar fan, and had a special place in his heart for his cats, Lucy and Missy. The family would also like to extend a special thank you to the Carle Oncology Unit. A celebration of life for Joseph Alexander will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home at 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL. Pastor Donald Prouty will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 12:30-2:00 PM prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Latter Rain Church.
