Jonnette C. Tyner, 68, of Danville, passed away at 11:20 AM on Monday, October 22, 2012. Jonnette was born on October 21, 1944 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John H. and Bernice (Maronto) Stephens. She married Lee Tyner on October 8, 1967 in Danville. He preceded her in death on May 18, 1995. She is survived by one daughter- LeeAnna (Tom) Turner of Oakwood, one step-daughter- Vickie (Dave) Caudill of Tilton, two brothers- Dan (Sandy) Stephens of California, Mike (Peggy) Stephens of Florida, three grandchildren- Landon Turner, Olivia Turner, and Shane Woods, four step-grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a special shopping friend- Frannie Rodgers. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Jonnette graduated from Lakeview High School in Decatur, IL in 1962. She worked as a directory assistance supervisor at Ameritech for over thirty years. She was a member of Pioneers of America and Holy Family Catholic Church. She loved shopping and was most excited when she received a 30% discount at Kohl's or getting great bargains at TJ Maxx. She loved going to sporting events, spoiling her grandkids and their friends and meeting the ladies for breakfast. A Mass of Christian Burial for Jonnette will be held at 10:30 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church in Danville with Fr. Ted Pracz officiating on Friday, October 26, 2012. A visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville on Thursday, October 25, 2012. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in Jonnette's name to Holy Family Catholic Church.
