Jonathan O. J.O. Pickett, 26, of Covington, IN., passed from this Life at 10:11pm on Friday, July 2, 2010 at Provena USMC in Danville. He was born on December 8, 1983, in Danville, the son of Tim O. Pickett and Ylonda K. (Hegg) Iungerich. Survivors include his parents, Glenn and Ylonda Iungerich, both of Covington, his biological father, Tim Pickett, and his three siblings, Taylor Iungerich of Covington, Cody Pickett of Veedersburg, and Abbee Iungerich also of Covington. His maternal grandmother, Peggy Murray, paternal grandparents, Bill and Vera Pickett, paternal grandmother, Dorothy Iungerich, and his maternal great-grandfather, Mike Manasco also survive Jonathan. His 15 first cousins, Eric and Jeffery Iungerich, Dave and Jim Matthews, Allison, Adam, Abby, and Alec Pickett, Candace, Seth, and Caleb Murray, Amanda, and Holly Pressman, Bobby Backer, and Nicole (Whittington) Spencer, as well as his many aunts, uncles, and friends also survive him. His maternal great-grandmother, Christine Manasco, two maternal grandfathers, Walt Murray, Don Hegg, and his paternal grandfather, Ray Iungerich, preceded Jonathan in death. Jonathan was a 2002 Covington High School graduate. He worked in various occupations and was known as a people person. He was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs, and the Beatles Rock Group. He enjoyed cooking, music, playing the piano, and traveling to Germany, where he learned to speak the language. Jonathan enjoyed making people smile, learning about life, the world, and its new adventures. He will truly be missed by all that knew him. A Celebration of Jonathan Picketts Life will be held Thursday, July 8, 2010 at 11:00am EDT at Sunsets Covington Chapel, a Life Celebration Home, located at 420 3rd Street, Covington Indiana. Calling hours for family and friends will be between 4pm-8pm EDT on Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at the funeral home. After services, per Jonathan and his family wishes, cremation rites will take place and inurnment will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Covington at a later date.
