Jon R. Macy, 69, of Danville, transferred his membership to the glorified Church of Jesus that he was so in love with at 6:06pm, Monday, March 14, 2016, a St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN. He was born on August 7, 1946, in Danville, the son of Russell and Mary {Rathbun} Macy. On August 24, 1973, he was united in marriage to Debbie Neild in Cayuga, IN. She survives. He is also survived by his brother, Jack (Barbara) Macy of Covington, IN, and his nieces, Hillary Macy of Covington and Amanda Neild of Cayuga. He was preceded in death by his parents. Jon worked as a Security Guard at Quaker Oats for many years and had also worked for Holmes Bros in Danville. He was a member of the Cedar Grove Church of the Nazarene in Danville. He loved watching wrestling and going mushroom hunting with his father-in-law. Jon was a committed Christian. A celebration of Jon's life will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, March 19, 2016, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Pastor Wiggins officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm-2:00pm Saturday prior to his service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Memorial donations may be given in his name to Cedar Grove Church of the Nazarene or to his family to help with expenses.
