Johnny J. Sliva

GEORGETOWN - Johnny J. Sliva, 58, of Georgetown, passed away at 7:52pm, Wednesday, March 7th, 2007, at home. He was born on March 20th, 1948, in Danville, IL, the son of John and Viola (Davis) Sliva. His father preceded him in death. Those who will miss him include: his mother, Viola Sliva of Georgetown; his son Jeff (Traci) Sliva of Texas; his daughters, Kim (Tyler) Gardner of Tennessee and Karri (Charles) Vire of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Gabriel Sliva, Avery Sliva, Meghan Sliva, Chase Vire, & Korie Vire; his brother, Steve (Karen) Sliva of Georgetown; his nephew, Ethan Sliva; and his nieces, Lexi Sliva and Erin Gordon. John was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids and nieces and nephews. A celebration of Johns life will be held at 10:00am, Monday, March 12th, 2007, at the Bible Missionary Church, on Perrysville Avenue, Georgetown. Roger Mertens will officiate the service. Visitation will be 2-6pm on Sunday, March 11th, 2007, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
