Urbana - John William Coad, 64, passed away on Thursday November 23, 2017 at Presence Covenant Medical Center in Urbana. He was born on December 1, 1952 to William Fred and Mamie Louise (Cunningham) Coad in Urbana, IL. John is survived by loved one Darlene S. Coad; daughter Amy; stepchildren Thom, Teresa, and Angie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Fred; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends; and his dog Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, son Jason, and brother Richard. John enjoyed playing games on his tablet. Cremation rites have been allotted through Sunset Funeral Home, 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL 61820. Memorial donations may be made in John's name to the American Cancer Society.
