John Wayne Brewer

John Wayne Brewer, 68, of Westville, known to some of his classmates as Wilbur, passed away at home surrounded by his family, Wednesday August 15, 2018. John was born on September 21, 1949 in Tuscola, IL the son of Bernard and Mary (Mayhall) Brewer. He had married Pam Lugoski on December 21, 1979 in Danville. Pam will miss him so much, they did everything together. Also surviving are: his two sons, A. J. (Kristen Wolfinbarger) Brewer of Westville, and Kevin Brewer of San Diego, CA; one brother, Ron Brewer of Hume; a sister, Marsha (Steve) Hillard of Camargo, IL; his brother-in-law, J.D. Lugoski of Westville; also, two nieces and one nephew; and his faithful dog, Sydney. John was preceded in death by his parents. John retired from K. I. K., formally known as Peterson-Puritan, as a purchasing agent. John had a passion for golf, bicycling, and running half marathons. He was a St. Louis Cardinal and Illini Basketball fan. John loved working outside on his lawn and garden. Most of all, John loved being with Pam and his family. A celebration of John's life will be held at 11:00am Monday August 20, 2018 at Sunset Urbas Funeral Chapel 414 S. State St. Westville. Visitation will be 1:00pm to 4:00pm Sunday August 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
