John Seilhymer

John Seilhymer, 76, of Catlin, formerly of Georgetown, passed away at 9:09am, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born on February 7, 1947, the son of Fredrick and Doris {Dartnell} Seilhymer. He is survived by his children, Deanna Dale Huber and Leslie Seilhymer; his grandchildren, Adrian Tosh and Lemuel Pasquale; his great grandchildren, Addison Tosh and Nolan Tosh; his siblings, Thomas (Mary) Seilhymer, David (Sandy) Seilhymer, Evelyn Seilhymer, and Michael (Jackie) Seilhymer; his many nieces and nephews; his caregiver, Stacey Arnett; and many more family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Nancy Huber; his brother, Fred Seilhymer, Jr.; and sister, Vickie McCrone. John was a proud Veteran of the US Army serving during the Vietnam War. He worked as a welder and was a member of the Pipefitter Union in Texas. He spent his time sitting on his porch enjoying the weather and going fishing. He also enjoyed watching wrestling. Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by those who loved him. A graveside service will be held at 10:00am, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Forest Park Cemetery, Georgetown. Memorial donations may be given in his name to the donors choice of charity.
