John R Kochvar

John R. Kochvar II, 53, of Danville, passed away at 1:08pm, Monday, November 21, 2011, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Goldsboro, North Carolina. He was born on November 16, 1958, in Danville, IL, the son of John R. and Mary A. {Davis} Kochvar. John worked as a welder for Worldwide and previously for Mervis Industries. He enjoyed riding his Harley, going fishing and walking in the woods. He also enjoyed playing basketball and golfing with his son. He was an outdoorsman and an avid Bears fan. He is survived by: his son, Andrew J. Kochvar of Danville; his daughter, Kylie Wilson of Danville; his grandchildren, Madison Kochvar, Macie Jo Kochvar, Maddox Andrew Kochvar, & Andyn Kyle Lee Kochvar; his sisters, Theresa (Brian) Sollars of Georgetown & Prudence (Rockey) Beeson of Danville; several nieces & nephews; and his good friend, Mike Boothe of Westville. He was preceded in death by his parents and his maternal & paternal grandparents. A celebration of John's life will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, November 28, 2011, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, Georgetown, with Pastor Dave Rumley officiating. Visitation will be held 11:00am to 1:00pm, prior to the service on Monday. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
