John Pryor

John R. Pryor, 45, of Oakwood, Illinois passed away on December 21, 2010 at his home with his wife at his side. John was born August 21, 1965 in Oakwood, Illinois son of Jim and Astrid Pryor. He married Frankie Lynn Brown on January 1, 2008. She survives along with two stepchildren Brandon and Jaydon; John had a very special relationship with his nephew Jake; other survivors include nephew Travis Roush; nieces; Leather and Lacey; grandmother Mildred Lomax, brother Nick Pryor, as well as many aunts, uncle, and cousins; and his loyal dachshund Jake. He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy and his parents. John graduated Oakwood High in the class of 83 and worked at Danville Metal Stamping for 20yr, Allied Waste in Danville for 2 yrs, and currently worked at the Labor Hall District #703 in Champaign. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, mushroom hunting, riding his Harley and 4-wheelers, fishing in tournaments with his late father and his social life with family and friends. A Celebration of Johns Life will be held at 3:00pm Monday, December 27, 2010 at Sunsets Oakwood Chapel, A Life Celebration Home with Pastor Dan Jenkins officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm Monday at the funeral home. Following the service he will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery.
