John Phillips

Catlin John Lee Phillips, 85, of Catlin, formerly of Oakwood, IL passed away at his home on May 9, 2023.

John was born on May 19, 1937 the son of John and Nancy (Curwack) Phillips in Danville, IL. He married Sherry Griffith on December 6, 1958 in Danville, IL and she survives.

Survivors include his wife, Sherry Phillips of Catlin, IL, his sisters, Chris Herzog and Eve Lundy, and two sisters-in-law, Willa Penrod and Betty Garland.

John is preceded in death by his parents.

John retired from Tee Pak where he worked as a Maintenance Supervisor and enjoyed spending his free time attending auctions, antiquing, boating and fishing.

As per his wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. There will be no funeral services and Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834 is assisting the family with arrangements.
