John Paul Steward

John Paul Steward, 55, (Westville, IL) passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 13, 2022 in Chicago, IL. John survived by mother, Irene Steward; children, Payton and Spenser Steward; siblings Mike Steward (Toni), Steve Steward (Jan), Mark Steward (Kristy), and Raymond Steward; nieces and nephews, Jennifer, Mike, Tyler, Desiree, Kendra, Nicholas, Danika and Bailey. Preceded in death by grandparents Anthony and Albina Melecosky; Father Raymond Steward; brother Gene Steward and sister Mary Steward. Born May 17, 1967 (Danville, IL) John enjoyed Georgetown High School and was recognized for his perfect 4 years attendance. He was active in FFA, Student Council, and Athletics. John attended DACC, SIU Carbondale, Illinois State University, and graduated Lakeview College of Nursing with a BSN. Director Teen Reach was a special role for John advocating for teens seeking their potential with life skills coaching. John was lifelong Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed music listening to Sammy Hagar and especially the Beatles. Time on his Harley and behind the wheel of his Corvette made him smile. John was a proud father and always happy to share what Spenser and Payton were doing or had planned with everyone. Loyal to his class of 1985 he appreciated the close support and friendships and will be remembered as someone who knew how to have a good time as well handle tough ones; will be missed like a brother. Johns Catholic faith and Life celebration will begin with a visitation at St. Isaac Jogues Church, 109 W 7th St, Georgetown, IL on Saturday December 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM with a Mass at 11:00 AM.
