John Michael Wilson, 53, of Danville, died at 6:50 a.m. on Tuesday, May 15, 2007, at Provena U.S.M.C. in Danville. John was born May 15, 1954, in Canton, IL, the son of Quentin and Wilma R. (Hackett) Wilson. John is survived by two sons, Jeremy Wilson of Jacksonville, FL and Michael John Wilson of Danville; a daughter, Jessica Wilson of Danville; two grandchildren, Shayla Renee and Jeremy Matthew Wilson of Danville and a brother, William Bill Wilson of Holladay, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Timothy and an infant sister, Susan. John was a devoted father and a born again Christian. He was a carpenter and enjoyed working in the Bradenton, FL area constructing houses and high-rise buildings. He was most recently employed at the Palmer Arena in Danville. John, in his spare time, helped build ramps for the Handicap Association. He enjoyed mushroom hunting and fishing. John also loved horses, his dogs, and his Blues, especially Stevie Ray Vaughn. A Memorial service for John Michael Wilson will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday May 19,2007 at Bowman Avenue United Methodist Church 911 n. Bowman Ave Danville, Il 61832. Memorial contributions can be made to Bowman Avenue United Methodist Church. Per Johns wishes John will be cremated. Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center is in charge of the arrangements.
