John M. Nevels

WESTVILLE- John Michael Nevels, 49 of Westville, passed away at 8:37pm Friday, June 9, 2006 at Provena USMC in Danville. Mr. Nevels was born on January 1, 1957 in Danville, the son of Robert H. and Lily (Coseboon) Nevels. On September 24, 1976, John married Connie Jo Miller in Danville. She survives. Other survivors include his parents; Bob and Lily Nevels of Westville, his three sons; John (Leann) Nevels of Potomac, Ill; Timothy Nevels of Tilton; Brock David Nevels of Danville, and his daughter; Brandi Lutz of Olney, Ill. His six sisters; Vickie (Greg Black); Sue Cadle; Hope, Penny, Terri, Roberta, and one brother; Jimmy also survive John. He will also be missed by his granddaughter; Jaida Nevels, and his three grandsons; Gaige Nevels, Schuyler Nevels, and Dylan Jaggers, as well as his two special friends; Tina and Brandon Nixon. His four brothers; Timothy Nevels, Kenny, Jimmy, and Sonny Reffett, as well as his two sisters; Brenda and Elizabeth Reffett precede John in death. John showed his love for his family and friends by have a big heart. He enjoyed playing music and will be sadly missed by all that knew him. A celebration of the life of Mr. John M. Nevels will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, June12, 2006 at Sunset South's Westville Chapel located at 414 S. State St. in Westville. Final resting place will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be held one prior to the funeral service (1-2p) on Monday June 12, 2006 at the funeral home.
