John Lomprez

John Lomprez, 77, passed away on January 24, 2017 at Williamsport, Indiana Rehabilitation and Nursing Home. He was born on April 18, 1939 in Springfield, IL to Paul and Laurena (Frasco) Marshall. He married Natalie Slay in 1969 in Paris, IL. She survives. John is survived by his spouse, Natalie of Covington, IN; children; Heather (Bill) Jenkins of Danville, Brent Lomprez of York, PA and April (David) Hix of Danville, sister, Joan Lomprez of Springfield, IL; grandchildren, Lindsey Hix, Cole Cunningham, Andrew Hix and Levi Hix. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Paul Marshall II and nephew, Michael Lowrey John worked at UPS for 30 years delivering mostly to the Hoopeston area before retiring in 1994. He then worked for Danville Eye Clinic over 10 years. John served in the United States Army and loved to bowl, fish, golf, camp and spend time with his grandchildren. John was a steward for Teamsters Union #710 and a member of the Elks Club in Danville, IL. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 3-6 PM at a Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 North Vermilion Street, Danville, L 61834. A celebration of John's life will be held on Monday, January 30, 2017 at 10 am at the funeral home with Pastor Roberta Cook officiating. John will be laid to rest at Danville National Cemetery.
