John Lisick

John Lisick, 58, (but he would of preferred me to of put 38), of Danville passed away on August 8, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born in Danville on October 17, 1962 surviving both his father, John Lisick and mother, Charlotte Lynn.

His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his daughter Karissa Bryant and grandson Hudson Bryant. His grandson was his pride and joy. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers with him and couldnt wait until he could out run him on the baseball field. Leaving behind his siblings; Troy, Brian, and Brenda (Kevin Crozier) Lisick, which he will continue to torture. His uncle Bill (Mindy) Meeker, dearest cousin Bruce (Lisa) Meeker, and many close friends.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Wyman and Iva (Howard) Meeker, his good friend Mike Mascari, and his dog that never left his side, Oscar.

John lived for his family, antique cars, baseball, and never could take a break from working. Proudly he owned two beautiful Chevelles, which were his babies. He never missed a Cubs game, although after the recent draft, decided this would be the last year as a die hard Cubs fan. John worked with many friends and 'a bunch of morons'. His words, not ours. Plus a few swear words but took great pride in his work. John will be missed by so many, but he will make sure that he will never be forgotten.

A visitation will be held for John on Friday, August 13, 2021 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, located at 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville. A funeral service celebrating Johns life will be on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00 am, also at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery, in Georgetown. The celebration for John will continue immediately following his burial on Saturday at Better Days Cocktails and Bar, at 8 Hodge Street in Tilton.
