John Richard Keleminic

John R. Keleminic, 71, of Westville, Illinois, passed away on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois.

He was born May 17, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, son of the late Steven and Mildred (Ocic) Keleminic.

John is survived by his daughters: Amillia (Norman) Folkert and Deanna (Joe Razmus) Cunningham; his grandchildren: Nicholas Beresford, Daryn Beresford, Brilynn Barnett and Camden Folkert; four great-grandchildren; his brother: Steve Keleminic; one nephew and two nieces.

Along with his parents, John was preceded in death by his son: John Richard Keleminic Jr.

John was a 1971 graduate of Danville High School and later went on to work at Tee-Pak for 27 years. He then worked at KIK for seven years before retiring. John could often be found kicked back watching his favorite documentaries on UFO’s and Big Foot. If he wasn’t at home, you knew he could be found playing a round of golf, or walking the riverbank at Anderson Hill, smoking a fat joint with his favorite four-legged grandson, “Champ.” 

A committal service for John will take place at 1PM on Friday, December 20, 2024, in the mausoleum chapel at Sunset Memorial Park 3901 N Vermilion Street Danville, Illinois, with burial to follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
