John Homann

John Patrick Homann, 60, of Westville, Illinois passed away at his home surrounded with love after his eight-year cancer battle on July 17, 2024. John was born in Terre Haute, IN on April 11, 1964, to Charles and Norma (Brown) Homann. On August 11, 1989, he married the love of his life Angela Strawser in Fowler, IN.

Preceding him in death is his mother, Norma (Brown) Homann.

Surviving are those who were his reasons for living- his father, Charles Homann of Farmer City, IL; His wife, Angela Homann of Westville, IL; His children, Jon (Amanda) Homann of Oakwood, IL, Savannah (Barry) English of Danville, IL, Jessica Homann-Dimmock of Largo, FL, Kayla Wilson of Danville, IL and Rhonda (Bradley) Glover of Hoopeston, IL; His grandchildren, Jaiden, Gage, Danielle, Erica, Maylea, Piper, Adam, Payton, Koltyn, Sophia, Bailey, Brayden, Kenadie, John, Cheyenne and DaKya; His siblings Daniel (Tori) Homann, Diana Homann & Curtis (Jennifer) Homann all of Farmer City, IL; and his two fur babies Pixie Sue "Sue-Sue" and Bella and many nieces, nephews, and cousins and special in-laws.

John was a fighter. He was the kind of man who never gave up, no matter how hard things got. Many would agree he was stubborn. That all proved true in his long battle with cancer. No matter what, he fought hard until the end. He could see the best in any situation. Although some might know his reserved side a few would laugh knowing deep down he was a wild one. Being a hard, dependable worker was in his blood. He worked many places in his life, but Bill Smiths was his home away from home where he made lasting impressions and lifelong friendships. John was the person to call If something needed built or repaired, he was just that guy. Truly a jack of all trades. Although he was great at many things-being a family man was the part of life he treasured. He made time for those who meant the most. Whether that meant cooking out, taking hikes or just making the most of the holidays, you could always count on him to be there. Forever missed and always loved.
