John F. Kurek Jr. 63, of Danville passed away at 6:02 p.m. Sunday December 16, 2007 at his home. He was born on August 6, 1944 in Cleveland, OH the son of John Francis Sr. and Anna Cziryak Kurek. He married Diane L. Celenko on October 23, 1966 in Cleveland, OH. She survives of Danville. Also surviving, his mother, Anna Cziryak of Cleveland, OH, his children, Adriane Darzinikas of Danville, Kermit Kurek of Riverside, CA, and Anna Tovar of Marino Valley, CA, his brother, Mike Kurek of Lakewood, OH, his sister, Irene Conrad of Cleveland, OH, and his grandchildren, Chris Kurek of Danville and Adam Darzinikas of Danville. He was preceded in death by his father and his granddaughter, Jennifer Darzinikas. John worked as a machinist for Textron Aerospace Fasteners in Santa Ana, CA, where he retired after 34 of service. He loved fishing, hunting, and golf. He also enjoyed watching baseball, football, NASCAR, and gangster movies. Most of all John enjoyed spending time with his grandkids. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Johns life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday December 21, 2007 at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Home 414 S. State St. in Westville, IL. Tom Myers will be officiating the service. Burial will be at Georgetown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 noon to 4:00 p.m. Thursday December 20, 2007 at the funeral home. Memorials can be made to the family.
