John E. Miller, Jr., 38, of Sidell passed away Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Born June 24, 1976 in Danville, he was the son of John E. Miller Sr. and Renate (Jeske) Eck. John owned a tow truck business for many years, and was a Lube Technician at Jiffy Lube and Walmart Auto. He was a huge Bruce Lee fan, and enjoyed collecting Bruce Lee memorabilia. John enjoyed bowling and all different kinds of hunting; whether it be bow or shotgun season. He was notorious for taking selfies of everything, and he loved goofing around with his kids. John never knew a stranger and was always up for helping anyone in need. John is survived by two children, Riley and Gavyn Miller of Tilton; his mother and step father, Renate and Rick Eck of Oakwood; two sisters, April Jeske of Danville and Katie (Rick) Ullman of Muncie, Indiana; his best friends, Chris Zorns, Wyatt Rogers, Nate Reitsma, Kevin Roberts and Rodny “Bo” Miller; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, John E. Miller, Sr.; and his maternal and paternal grandparents. A service to celebrate Johns life will be 7 p.m. Friday, March 6th at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville with Rev. Dave Routien officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. until the time of services Friday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Sunset Funeral Home following services.
