John T. Dudich, 73, of Danville passed away at 1:14 am on April 17, 2009 at Danville Care Center. John was born August 4, 1935 in Westville, IL the son of John and Suzanna (Yuhas) Dudich. He married Barbara (Bobbie) Carey on November 12, 1960 in Danville at St. Patricks Church. She survives along with two sons Michael (Mari Beth) Dudich of Tampa, FL, and Richard (Cari) Dudich of Oak Forrest, IL: one daughter Jana (Tom Jr.) McKenna of Danville, IL: one brother George Dudich of Georgetown, IL: one sister Eleanor (Milbern) Holycross of Westville, IL: eight grandchildren Thomas III, Patrick, and Michaela McKenna of Danville, IL, M. Ross Dudich of Tampa, FL, and Abigail, Julianna, Alexander and Jennavieve Dudich of Oak Forest, IL: and several brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws. He was preceded in death by his parents. John was a 1954 graduate of Schlarman High School, after high school he worked for Colwell & Kowa Printing in Champaign, IL after that he worked for Danville Sanitary District, he retired from there after 19 years of service. John was a member of St. Pauls Catholic Church in Danville. John was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He loved fishing, being outdoors and watching all kinds of sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pittsburgh Pirates. John was a life member of the Knights of Columbus #754. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Life for Johns will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 at 10:30 am at St. Pauls Catholic Church, with Father Greg Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday evening April 19th from 4:00-7:00pm at Sunset Funeral Home. There will be a Rosary held at 7:00pm. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made in Johns name to St. Pauls Catholic Church, St. Pauls Grade School or to Schlarman High School. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
