John C Bates

John Charles Bates age 45 of Danville passed away at 7:07 pm Monday June 21 2004 at his home. He was born June 3, 1959 in Flora IL the son of Fred and Edith Grogan Bates They survive also two sisters; Linda Hagen of Washington NC, Sue Daniels of Lebanon IN, four nieces; Tracy (Joe) Walton of Catlin, Dawn (Patrick) Jones of Cure Beach NC, Gayle (Steve) Beebe of Greentown IN, Nicole McClatchey of Denver CO also four great-nephews; Hunter and Tanner Walton of Catlin, Joel and Mitchell Beebe of Greentown CO. John was a machinist for Furry Machine shop in Danville and had also worked for Linne Machine Shop for 18 yrs. John had been the past president of Vermilion Hills Country Club of Danville and was a member of S.A.L with American Legion Post210, He enjoyed playing Volley ball, softball, golfing but most of all he liked to ride his 1999 Harley Davidson Fat Boy which for his birthday he rode in the Miracle Ride in Indianapolis for the Riley's Children's Hospital on June 5, 2004. John enjoyed cooking out with family and friends especially for his birthday. With the passing of John he has left our hearts both full and empty there are no words that can sufficiently describe what a wonderful Son, brother and friend John had been
