John Bryan Hyche, 55, of Lafayette, IN, formerly of Danville, passed this life at 4:30pm (CST), November 5, 2011, at home. He was born on July 2, 1956, the son of John C. and Patricia {Hathaway} Hyche in Danville, IL; they survive along with: two sisters, Mary Beth Hyche of Danville and Cindy (Kim Phelps) George of Georgetown; one niece, Jennifer George; one nephew, Dwight George; and two great nieces, Journey May and Justice Fay Clark. John was estranged from his from four children, but loved them and thought often of what could have been. John had attended St. Mary's School and Schlarman, and then graduated from Westville High School in 1974, and later, he attended Danville Area Community College. He worked many years at Hyster and retired from Wabash National in Lafayette due to illness. John loved gardening and was an avid sports fan. He will be missed by all who really loved him. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00am, Thursday, November 10, 2011, at St. Mary's Church, 231 N State Street, Westville, with Father Timothy Sauppe officiating. Visitation will be 9am-11am on Thursday prior to his service at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville. He will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
