John B Groce

Danville John B. Groce, 88, of Oakwood, IL passed away at 7:40 AM at the Waters of Covington on May 30, 2022.

John was born on April 9, 1934 the son of Claude and Love (Jennings) Groce in Frogue, KY. He married Beulah Buss on June 26, 1955 in Milford, IL and she preceded him in death on April 22, 2014.

John will be deeply missed his two daughters, Mary (Dennis) Reed of Oakwood, Cindy (Tracy) Fairchild of Oakwood, eight grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

John is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Beulah, one son, John Groce, one sister and four brothers.

John was retired from General Motors. He loved Jesus and gospel music and traveled and sang for many years with his wife, Beulah. He also enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing and living on the lake.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois 61834. Miles Clark will officiate. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM on Friday, June 3, 2022 at the funeral home
