Johanna L. Gudauskas, 88, of Georgetown passed away on April 10, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Johanna Leona Lodas was born on November 15, 1915 in Perry County, Craig, IL., the daughter of Tony & Mary Knoutskie Lodas, Westville, IL., baptized at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Westville. Johanna married Max A. Gudauskas on August 2, 1935 in Vermilion County, Danville, IL. Johanna & Max had three children, Jerry, Rose (Barnes), and Bill. Surviving: sisters Mary Ann Shotts of Hamilton, AL., & Delores Guestitus, Sun City, AZ; sister in law, Ida Lodas of Westville, IL; sons Bill Gudauskas of Danville and Jerry Gudauskas of McHenry, IL; six grandchildren, eleven nephews, six nieces. Special friends are Jan Gudauskas, Jennie Lewis, Ruby Marriage, Pat Biggs, and Pat Bianchetta; and special neighbors Kuyrkendalls, Ferrantes, and Sprouls. During her life-time Johanna was very talented, making hand made quilts, embroidering, crocheting, stitching, anything with needle and thread. Johanna was a homemaker & still the best cook in the family. She was employed for 28 years with the Georgetown Schools, retiring as Head Cook in 1980; and continued to work part-time 15 years for Sen-Mail Mailing Services in Danville. Johanna enjoyed being outdoors spending time in her flower beds, vegetable garden, and loved to feed the cows. She always enjoyed to just go for a drive. Johanna was a member of the Friends Church in Georgetown. Donations in memory of Johanna made to the Georgetown Friends Church would be appreciated.
