Joe Conerly

Joe Henry Conerly of Champaign, IL. passed away on December 20, 2018 at Heartland Healthcare in Champaign, IL. Joe was born in Tylertown, Mississippi on January 29, 1946 the son of George and Edwina Conerly. He is survived by his wife Rachel, children; Dr. Yvette Conerly Glenn, Kelvin (Raisha) Conerly, Kin Conerly and Rita Conerly, grandchildren; Brittany, Celia, Nicholas, Maria, Leavell, Loreal, Londyn, Iyjah, Rita, Ivy, Ryn, Levi, Kamiya, Amarah, Gabriel, Kameron, Sarea, Kinisha, Kandlee and Khalia, great grandchildren; Isela, Sophia, Mia, Ace, Lola and ZaVionn, sister in law Judy Conerly and brother in law Leonard Brumfield Sr.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brother George Conerly and sister Vera Brumfield.

Joe enjoyed repairing cars and owned a car repair business for many years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and travelling. He loved spending time with his family and was known for his wonderful sense of humor.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 28, 2018 at 1pm with visitation held prior from 12-1pm at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center 710 N. Neil St. Champaign, IL.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made in Joes name to The American Cancer Society.
