Jody Michael Wood

Jody Michael Wood, 24, of Oakwood passed away at 9:49pm on Friday March 14, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Jody was born August 15, 1983 in Danville.Loving son of Vicki (Andy) Verhoeven and John (Brenda) Wood. Brother of John (Lori) Wood Jr., Jeremy Wood both of Danville and Josh (Amber) Wood of Washington. Uncle of Bailey , Josh, and Christina Wood; grandson of Robert and Lela Witherspoon and the late John I and Mary Lou Wood. Nephew of Sheryl Olivier of Lake Tahoe, Rhonda Gale of Oakwood and Tony (Sue) Witherspoon also of Lake Tahoe. Cousin and friend to many. Jody was a member of the Hog Riders Assc. and the NRA. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing and was an avid gun collector. He attended Oakwood High and attended Vineyard Church in Urbana. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A celebration of Jodys life will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday March 19, 2008 at Sunsets Community & Life Tribute Center 3550 N. Vermilion St. Danville. Pastor Dave Anderson and Star Andrews will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakhill Cemtery.
