Jodi Ann Meharry, 33, of Bloomington, IL formerly of Danville, was called to be home with her Lord at 5:55am on Sunday, November 07, 2010 at her parents home after a long and courageous battle with juvenile diabetes. She was born on July 11, 1977 in Danville, the daughter of Jim and Judy Meharry. She is survived and will be sadly missed by her parents, Jim and Judy of Danville, her sister, Jamie (Bryan) Wolfe of Bloomington, and her 3 nephews, Gavin, Gage, and Cael, who were the light of her life. Her maternal grandparents, Paul and Alta Paxton, paternal grandparents, Howard and Julia Meharry, and her uncle, Jay Paxton, preceded Jodi in death. Jodi graduated from Danville High School in 1995, and continued her education at Illinois-Wesleyan, earning a Bachelors Degree of Nursing in 1999. She worked as a nurse at the McLean County Center for Human Services in Bloomington, IL where she enjoyed helping all of her wonderful clients. Jodi touched the hearts of many people through her contagious laughter, fun personality, her kindness, and sense of humor. She was always worried about taking care of everyone, and always put others before herself. She will truly be missed by all. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jodi Ann Meharry will begin at 10:00am on Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Danville United Church of Christ located at 618 E. Main St. in Danville with Pastors Dave Garver, and Connie Moodie officiating.
