His survivors include his wife Anne; his children Nancy (Rick) Bingham of Rossville and Joe Jenkins of Elwood; his brother Dieter (Margret) Wulf of Hamburg, Germany; his nephews, local to the area, Charlie (Vicky) Rademacher and Matt (Cathy) Rademacher; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews in Illinois, Virginia, and Germany; and his two loyal dogs Scout and Max.
Joe worked as a supervisor at Dresden Nuclear Power Station for 23 years before his retirement. He volunteered much of his time with various youth programs, most notably as a Big Brother and by mentoring at the youth prison. He enjoyed working in his garden, woodworking, farm work, helping out at a local winery, and being active. He will be dearly missed.
