Joaquin Romero

Joaquin Romero Joaquin Romero, 56, of Danville, passed away at 1:56 a.m. on Sunday, February 17, 2008, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Joaquin was born on August 16, 1951, the son of Jesus and Sophia (Montano) Romero in Mexico. In 1987 he married Victoria Castello in Covington, IN. She survives. Other survivors include one son Joaquin Romero, Jr., four daughters Maria Romero, Lucy Romero, Lisa Romero, and Bisenta Romero, three brothers Victor Romero, Rafael Romero, and Ariel Romero, two sisters Martha Romero and Sylvia Romero, and grandchildren Nariah, Savanna, Aleeya, Brian, Giovanna, and Adrianna. Joaquin was preceded in death by one brother Miguel and his parents. Joaquin was a welder, working at Mervis for 15 years and Harrison Steel for another 8 years. He enjoyed working on cars, helping others, and talking at length. Most of all, he loved his family and friends. A visitation to Celebrate Joaquins Life will take place on Wednesday, February 20, 2008 from 4-8 p.m. at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center (Formerly Lakeside-Barrick) located at 3550 N.
