Joann Patterson

JoAnn M. Patterson, 75, of Dahlonega, GA, formerly of Danville passed away on January 7, 2010 at her residence. JoAnn was born May 5, 1934 in Williamsport, IN daughter of Russell and Louise Frazier Willett. She married Buford Patterson. He preceded her in death. She is survived by four children: Bill Patterson, James (Vicky) Patterson, Scott (Mary) Patterson, Peggy (Mike) Nosworthy; six grandchildren: Travis (Caryn) Patterson, Justin Patterson, Karen (Michael) Dunn, Joshua (Christa) Patterson, Jeremy (Jaimee) Nosworthy, and Niki Patterson; five great-grandchildren: Hope, Grace, Abigail, Camryn, and Jason. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters. JoAnn was a 52 graduate of Richland High School in Newtown IN and had worked for Hyster 20+ years until retiring. She was a member of Second Church of Christ in Danville for a number of years. JoAnn enjoyed reading, crocheting, crossword puzzles, but her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of JoAnns Life will be held at 7:00 pm, Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Drew Mentzer officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place on Wednesday at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
