Joann Metz

Joann Metz, 68, of Georgetown, passed away at 3:00pm, Tuesday, May 15, 2018, at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana. On June 7, 1949, she was born to Harold and Edith M. {Dunivan} Metz in Danville, IL. Joann will dearly be missed by: her brothers, Kenneth (Jeanie) Metz of Georgetown and James Metz of Covington, IN; her sister-in-law, Christy Metz of Ridge Farm; her grandchildren, Jeremy (Paula Crain) Metz of Georgetown, Zachary (Kelli Christy) Adams of Sullivan, IN; her great grandchildren, Kaydence Bapp, & Addyson Baker. She was preceded in death by: her father; her daughter, Carrie Metz; her grandson, John Adams; her sister-in-law, Sandy Metz; and her brother, Steve Metz. Joann retired from TeePak in Danville after 43 years. She was member of the Ridge Farm United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer of CRIS Senior Services and enjoyed flower gardening, as well as playing cards and crossword puzzles. A celebration of Joann's life will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, May 18, 2018, at Olivet Church of the Nazarene, 5054 Olivet Rd, Georgetown with Pastor James Blue officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm Friday prior to her service at the church. She will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Cemetery, Ridge Farm. Memorial donations may be given in her name to CRIS Senior Services or American Cancer Society.
