Joann C. Draper

Joann C. Draper, 78, of Westville, passed away at 2:29 am on Tuesday, August 20, 2013, at her home. She was born on May 23, 1935 in Taylorville, IL to Fred and Isabelle (Shumolis) Kupcik. She married Gerald E. Draper on May 4, 1969, in Tilton. He survives. Joann is also survived by three brothers, Andrew, Ronald and Anthony Kupcik; two nephews, Jedd and Alek Kupcik; four nieces, Sara, Izabelle, Kalyn and Jennika Kupcik; several brothers and sisters in-law and lifelong friend, Sylvia Sleva. She was preceded in death by her parents. Joann worked in the transportation division at Lauhoff Grain. She enjoyed crocheting, working in her yard and reading mystery novels. Joann was a loyal Illini Basketball and St. Louis Cardinals fan. She will be remembered as a devoted and loving wife and sister. A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2013 at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor James Blue officiating.
