Joan Rockwell

Joan Rockwell, 69, of Bismarck, IL, passed away at 1:58 PM Saturday October 31, 2015. She was born on August 18, 1946 in Louisville, Kentucky to Kenneth and Lorema (Sutton) Vice. Joan was preceded in death by sisters, Sara Wright, Virginia Barker, Jean Sutton; brother, Sunny Sutton; grandsons, Jonathan and Benjamin Makemson. She is survived by her children; Lisa (David) Makemson of Danville, James (Amelia) Rockwell of Tennessee, Sue Ann (Greg) Black of Bismarck, Rhonda (Buddy) Wilson and Mary Kay of Mississippi; siblings, Barbara Ellett of Potomac, Jane Geisert of Florida, Lana Miller of Georgetown, Cathern Pataki of Fithian, Lawrence Sutton of California, Kenneth Vice of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Zoey Amber, Brittany, Jessica, Devin, David, and Sophia Makemson; Mersaydeez, Alexxus, James, Tyler (Cory), and Whalen Rockwell; Cameron Black, Stephannie Edwards, Glen Wilson; Jessica, Shawn and Shane Ray; great-grandkids, Krystofr Wayne Acree, Kobi James and Carley, Mason Belk; Brooklyn and Nolan Edwards. She worked as a CNA for over 30 years, she did home care also. Joan collected clowns and frogs and loved spending time with her family and friends, loved rummage sales and loved to collect pictures from other people. A celebration of Joan's life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home, in Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the funeral home. Joan will be laid to rest at Bethel Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Riley's Children's Hospital in Indianapolis.
