Joan Kestufskie, 80, of Georgetown, passed away on October 26, 2011, at Provena USMC, Danville. She was born May 3, 1931, in Georgetown, to the late Roy A. and Elizabeth {Dinsmore} Black. Joan graduated from Georgetown High School after attending 26 schools due to her father's profession with Chicago Bridge & Iron. She was still able to finish school in 11 years due to her intelligence and strong work ethic. She was preceded in death by: her parents; a very special friend, James Edwards; and a wonderful sister-in-law, Shirley Black; and her nephew, Glen Cook. She is survived by one devoted and loving son, Mike (Cheryl) Kestufskie and two grandsons, Matthew Roy & Hugh Douglas Kestufskie, all of whom she was very proud of. In addition, one brother, James H. Black, whom she adored and his five children, Suzie (Lawrence) Brown, Jaime Joan (Mike) Kanger, Don Black, Amy Cook, & Melissa Black, as well as, several great and great-great nieces & nephews. Finally, one adopted son by heart and his family, Steve (Kara) Rhoden and their children and grandchildren. She truly enjoyed her lifelong profession as a bookkeeper. Joan loved spending time with her son and his family, who will miss her dearly. It was Joan's wishes to have a private family viewing and private graveside service. Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
