Joan Flesher

Danville - Joan Flesher, 88, of Danville, IL passed away at 11:32 PM on June 17, 2018 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. Joan was born on December 4, 1929 the daughter of Walter and Ocie (Nixon) Whitenack in Ridgeville, IN. She married Keith Flesher on July 24, 1948 in Ridgeville, IN and he survives. Survivors include her husband; Keith of Danville, two sons; Mike (Emily) Flesher of Potomac, IL and Greg Flesher of Champaign, IL, one brother; Lee (Charlene) Whitenack of Ridgeville, IN and one sister; Margie Davidson of Portland, IN, five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Joan is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Wayne Whitenack and Don Whitenack. Joan enjoyed spending her free time playing Bridge, golfing and taking care of her family, especially her children and grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL. Robbie Ketcherside will officiate. Cremation Rites will be accorded, and inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park following services. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorials by be made in Joan's memory to the Mills Cancer Center Patient Care Fund, 611 W Park Street Urbana, IL 61802.
