Jimmy Lee Redenbaugh

Danville - Jimmy Lee Redenbaugh, 75, of Danville, IL passed away at 11:40 AM on June17, 2018 at Illiana VA Medical Center in Danville, IL. Jimmy was born on September 4, 1942 the son of Harold William and Violet Lucille (Anglin) Redenbaugh. He was formerly married to Carol Sue Martin and she preceded him in death. Survivors include his two daughters; Vickie (Gregorio Florez-Martinez) Martinez and Carol (Cristobal) Lucas both of Urbana, IL, one sister; Debra Czajkowski of Champaign, IL, one nephew; Chris Redenbaugh, three grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, his former wife; Carol and two great-grandchildren. Jimmy served in the United States Army from 1968 until 1975. After he served in Vietnam he was an MP at the Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, IL. Jimmy loved music and was fortunate enough to have met Elvis Presley at a train station, who he was an avid fan of. Jimmy also enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, June 25, 2018 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 3940 N. Vermilion Street, Danville, IL. Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park with Military Rites accorded by American Legion Post 210 Honor Guard. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM on Monday, June 25, 2018 at the funeral home. Memorials by be made in Jimmy's memory to the St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or a Veteran's Charity of the donor's choice.
