Jimmy L. Torbit

Jimmy L. Torbit, 79, passed away at his home in Westville on March 22, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1944 in Fairmount to parents Helen and James Torbit. He attended Jamaica High School. He married the love of his life, Luann, on May 8, 1965. He was buried next to her at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Westville.

Jimmy worked at Tee Pak in Danville for over 45 years before his eventual retirement. He made a close-knit group of friends throughout those 45 years, which were friendships he cherished even long after he retired. He also held the title of Union Rep for the UFCW Local 686 for several years during his service at Tee Pak. He enjoyed having an opportunity to travel and always looked forward to the chance to go fishing.

He is survived by his daughters Lori Harris of Hayesville, North Carolina and Lisa Innes of Westville as well as his grandson Eric Harris.
