ELLENTON, FL- Jimmy L. Riggen, 66, of Ellington, FL, formerly of Westville, went to be with the Lord at 10:22am on October 14, 2005 at his residence. Mr. Riggen was born on January 18, 1939 in Dana, IN, the son of the late Claude O. and Daisey M. (Barnett) Riggen. Both parents precede him in death. On December 20, 1959 Jimmy married Myrna K. Douglass. She survives and resides in Florida. Jimmy leaves behind his wife Myrna, two daughters; Teresa (Mike) Woodley of Danville, Christy (John) Brumfield, also of Danville, and one son; Craig (Brandi) Riggen of Westville. Jimmy will also be missed by his grandchildren; Brandon (Lauren) Woodley, Melissa and Jimmy Woodley, Jessica and Jonathan Brumfield, Tanner and Tristen Riggen, and one great grandson; Justin Woodley. He is also survived by his brother; Orville Riggen and his sister; Eleanor Ross. Jimmy will be missed by his beloved dog, Sadie. He is preceded in death by eight brothers and two sisters. Jimmy was a graduate of Dana High School and earned a business degree from Porter Business College. He was employed with A.T.I for 20 years, and then self-employed with Riggen Trucking Company. Jimmy enjoyed golfing, boating and watching his children and grandchildren play in sporting events. He was an avid Chicago Cub, Indiana University and Westville High School Tiger fan, and was also one of the original board members of the Westville Youth Football Program, a member of Eastern Illinois Traffic Club, the Elks and Moose Lodge. A celebration of the life of Jimmy Riggen is scheduled for 10:00am on Wednesday October 19, 2005 at Sunsets South Westville Chapel at 414 S. State St in Westville. Final resting place: Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Scottland, IL. Visitation will be held between 5-8pm on Tuesday October 18, 2005 at the funeral home. Memorial contribution may be made in Jimmys name to the Westville Youth Football Program.
