Jimmie 'Pops' Lee Spires Sr.

Jimmie Lee Spires Sr. "Pops", 60, of Ridge Farm, passed away Wednesday August 3, 2022, at his residence. He was born in Danville, Illinois, on July 24, 1962, to Paul and Mary Spires. They preceded him in death. Jimmie will be greatly missed by his children, Jenny (Jamaca) Spires of Chrisman, Kala (Michael) Spires Georgetown, Victoria (Brent) Spires of Indiana, Jimmie Spires Jr of Ridge Farm, Austin Denman Marshall, and Bethany (Jason) Denman of Marshall; his grandchildren, Saige, Ben, Holden, Brantley, Abagail, Addison, Cason, Jaxson, Charlie, Grace, Rox, and Noah; his great grandson and birthday buddy, Breccan; his sister, Paula Jane (Chuck) Wright of Danville; his brothers, Bruce Spires of Danville, Norm (Bev) Spires of Danville, Greg (Becky) Spires of Ridge Farm; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his cats, Puss and Tommy; as well as his special friends, Heather, Tracie, Allen, Ray, Theresa, Brian, and Amy. Jimmie enjoyed all the coffee he could possibly drink, spending time with family, riding his Harley, cooking, mowing, and the outdoors. He was an avid Nascar fan and a loving Father, Pawpaw, and friend who will be greatly missed. A celebration of life is being planned for a later date.
